Artist | Yuri Stanislavovich Podlaski (June 5, 1923, Khabarovsk – July 7, 1987, Leningrad) – Russian Soviet painter and graphic artist. People’s Artist of the RSFSR, member of the Leningrad Union of Artists.
Born June 5, 1923 in Khabarovsk. In 1942 he became a student at the Ilya Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, from which he graduated in 1949 in the workshop of B. Ioganson with the qualification of a painting artist. Diploma work – genre painting “Threshing”. Yuri Podlaski has participated in exhibitions since 1949, exhibiting his works together with those of the leading masters of the visual arts of Leningrad. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1949. Yuri Stanislavovich Podlaski died on July 7, 1987 in Leningrad at the sixty-fifth year of his life. His works are in the State Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, in museums and private collections in Russia, Italy, Great Britain, Japan, Norway, France and other countries. |
