| Description | Khāqāni or Khāghāni (1121/1122, Shamakhi, Shirwan – 1190, Tabriz), was a Persian poet. He was born in the historical region known as Shirvan (located now in present country of Azerbaijan), under the Shirvanshah (a vassal of the Eldiguzids) and died in Tabriz, Iran. |
