|Description||MS “Nordlys” (Northern Lights) was a high-speed ship that was delivered to the shipping company Det Bergenske Dampskibsselskab (BDS) on May 12, 1951. The ship was building number 91 at Aalborg Shipyard in Denmark , and cost NOK 8.5 million. MS “Northern Lights” sailed in fixed rotation as a fast route between 1951 and 1983, only interrupted by workshop stays.
