Having entered the Academy of Arts in 1864 after graduating from the Stroganov School of Industrial Art, the young painter graduated from the Academy in 1870 with the rank of a class artist of the third degree and was ordered to pass an exam in a scientific course. During his studies, he received several silver medals for his studies, and since 1864 he began to participate in academic exhibitions. In his artistic specialization, the painter was a consistent genre artist. His paintings “Singing of the parish school” (1864), “Pranks of boys”, “Rural singing at the school”, “A trick of the rural painter” (all – 1868), “His court (From the public)” (1870), “Playing recruits ”,“ Beginner artist ”,“ At the inn ”(all – 1872) brought A.K. Lashin fame.
