Artist | Gavriil Martynovich Gluck (May 6 (19), 1912, Sighet, Austria-Hungary – November 2, 1983, Uzhhorod) – Ukrainian Soviet artist, Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR (1963).
Born May 6 (19), 1912 in a Jewish family in Sighet. In 1931-1933 he studied at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Budapest. In 1940 he entered the second year of art school in Chisinau. After the war and service in the labor army, he returned to Chisinau, was admitted to the Union of Artists of the Moldavian SSR. He painted genre paintings, portraits and landscapes. |
