The singer of girls and women, the author of portraits of contemporaries and contemporaries Vasily Timofeevich Timofeev was educated at the Academy of Arts as a free-come student.

In 1864 he was awarded of the artist of the third degree for the work “A Jewish boy repeats a prayer.” He groped his path and headed along it first to the class artist of the second degree (1865) and the class artist of the first degree (1866). .
