Artist Viktor Grigorievich Puzyrkov (October 4, 1918, Yekaterinoslav – October 30, 1999, Kiev) – one of the leading artists of Ukrainian fine arts of the second half of the XX century, People’s Artist of Ukraine (1963), People’s Artist of the USSR (1979), laureate of the USSR State Prize (1948, 1950), laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine. TG Shevchenko (1976), rewarded with a silver medal of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1979), professor of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. The artist’s creative heritage is a significant contribution to the treasury of the national artistic culture of Ukraine.
